Enrollment to Doctoral Studies in Scene Design
The Faculty of Technical Sciences has announced the admissions call for doctoral studies in Scene Design (the text of the admissions call can be found at the following link), and the submission of documents for the evaluation of previous studies and the application to the admissions call is from 14 September to 23 September 2026, or from 14 September to 28 September for students who have completed the relevant program at the Faculty of Technical Sciences.
Admission Requirements
The following may apply for admission to doctoral academic studies:
1. Candidates who have completed master’s academic studies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences or a related faculty (depending on the field for which they are applying), with the duration of their master’s and bachelor’s academic studies totaling at least 5 years and at least 300 ECTS credits, and who have:
- a minimum grade point average of 8.00 in their bachelor’s academic studies and
- a minimum grade point average of 8.00 in their master’s academic studies.
2. Candidates who have completed the relevant studies lasting at least four years under regulations that were in force before the adoption of the Law on Higher Education, provided that the Evaluation Committee determines that the previously completed studies are worth at least 300 ECTS credits, with an overall grade point average of at least 8.00.
Admissions Deadlines
Submission of documents for the evaluation of previous studies and application to the admissions call (applies to candidates whose previously completed studies need to be evaluated):
- electronic application: from 14 September to 23 September 2026, by 1:00 p.m.
- application in person at the Faculty: 22 and 23 September 2026, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Application to the admissions call for candidates who have completed the relevant FTN study program (applies to candidates whose previously completed studies do not need to be evaluated):
- electronic application: from 14 September to 28 September 2026, by 1:00 p.m.
- application in person at the Faculty: 28 September 2026, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Entrance examination:
- 29 September 2026, from 5:00 p.m.
Publication of evaluation results and preliminary ranking lists:
- 5 October 2026, by 8:00 p.m.
Publication of final ranking lists:
- 5 October 2026, by 8:00 p.m.
Enrollment of admitted candidates:
- 7 October 2026
The evaluation results and preliminary and final ranking lists will be published on the admissions web service.
Candidates are requested to check the exact enrollment time and location on the admissions web service after 8:00 p.m. on 7 October 2026. Candidates who do not appear will be considered to have withdrawn from enrollment. After the enrollment process is complete, candidates who have not enrolled must collect their documents by 16 October 2026. We will not keep documents after this deadline.
Documents
Documents required for application to the admissions call:
- Scanned diplomas or scanned certificates of graduation for all previously completed studies,
- Scanned diploma supplements or scanned certificates confirming passed examinations for all previously completed studies,
- Professional biography,
- For candidates who are citizens of the Republic of Serbia – a scanned ID card (with a chip) or a scanned ID card (without a chip); for candidates who are not citizens of the Republic of Serbia – a scanned birth certificate and/or a scanned copy of the first page of the passport,
- Scanned proof of payment of the application fee,
- Scanned proof of payment of the study program evaluation fee,
- Scanned curricula and syllabi of all previously completed studies (applies to candidates who did not complete their studies at FTN),
- CV and portfolio of artistic works (applies to candidates applying to the Scene Design study program).
Documents required for enrollment:
- Certified copies of diplomas or the original graduation certificates for all previously completed studies (candidates who completed their studies at FTN do not need to certify copies of diplomas),
- Certified copies of diploma supplements or the original certificates confirming passed examinations for all previously completed studies (candidates who completed their studies at FTN do not need to certify copies of diploma supplements),
- For candidates who are citizens of the Republic of Serbia – a scanned ID card reading (with a chip) or a photocopy of the ID card (without a chip); for candidates who are not citizens of the Republic of Serbia – the original birth certificate and/or a photocopy of the first page of the passport,
- Certified curricula and syllabi of all previously completed studies (applies to candidates who did not complete their studies at FTN),
- Two photographs, 4.5 x 3.5 cm,
- Proof of payment of the enrollment fee (original payment slip),
- Proof of payment of self-financing tuition costs (original payment slip),
- Proof of payment of the costs of organizing instruction for taking bridging/differential courses (applies to students who, following the evaluation of their previously completed studies, have been required to take additional courses).
- Enrollment package (contains an enrollment folder and student record book; it is obtained at the Faculty on the day of enrollment upon presentation of the payment slip for enrollment costs).
Entrance Examination
Candidates applying to the Scene Design study program must take an entrance examination, which consists of an analysis of the candidate’s portfolio of artistic and professional work and an interview with the Committee.
The entrance examinations will be held at the Faculty according to a schedule published on the admissions web service.
A candidate who does not pass the entrance examination cannot enroll. The Regulations on Enrollment, Studying in Doctoral Academic Studies and Obtaining the Academic Title of Doctor of Science or Doctor of Arts define the enrollment requirements and the procedure for taking the entrance examination.
